Senior Center seeking volunteer cooks

First Monday of month
Each Monday the Clinton County Senior Center, located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns, has a public luncheon as a fundraiser. Volunteers come in and cook the entire meal and then the meals are open to the public from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, or you may order a takeout meal.
One of their cook crews who cooks the 1st Monday of each month is going south for the next three months, so the Senior Center is looking for two individuals to step in for a couple of months. The Senior Center provides all the food and supplies, the volunteers are needed to come in and prepare the meal and dish it up when individuals come in. Volunteers usually arrive at 9:00 am and are done for the day by 1:00 pm.
If you would be interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, please contact Brenda Terpening at 989-224-7248. Ms Terpening is a Board member at the Senior Center and is in charge of scheduling these volunteers and determining the weekly menus.
