Clinton County Senior Center asking for items

Gifts, crafts
One of the sources of continuous funding for the Clinton County Senior Center, located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns is sales from their two Gift Shops. One Gift Shop contains all homemade items. They have volunteers ready to make things for the holidays and winter months, but they need some supplies to pass on to these volunteers. Some of the things needed include Christmas fabric (cotton), flannel, fleece, wide lace, elastic and cotton yarn. Of course they always accept other fabrics, yarns and craft supplies.
Another way the center is funded is through public lunches each Monday. They have cooks that make a complete meal each Monday. Meals are served between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Meals in September include Goulash (9/8), Ham (9/15), Beef and Noodles (9/22) and Chicken (9/29). For these meals they are always in need of paper products such as Styrofoam Plates (large and pie size), Styrofoam cups (8-10 ounce), napkins, paper towels and regular coffee.
If you would like to help the Senior Center, please drop items off at 201 E Walker Street between 9 am and 3 pm on Mon, Tue, Wed or Fri. If you need things picked up, please call 989-224-4257 and ask for Darlene Terpening.
