tennantThe Clinton County Arts Council is pleased to announce that the City of St. Johns has voted to name the city park performance shell in honor of Bill Tennant, a longtime supporter and promoter of the arts in Clinton County.

The St. Johns City Commission will be presenting a proclamation to Bill at their meeting on Monday, September 28 at 7 pm at the Clinton County Courthouse.

CCAC president Jenny McCampbell submitted a letter to the city council proposing the shell be named the William E. Tennant Performance Shell in recognition of Tennant’s 34 years as St. Johns High School orchestra director, his chairmanship of committees to construct the shell and renovate the Wilson Center Auditorium, and his many other acts of volunteerism on behalf of the arts.
