Meth bust in St. Johns

The St. Johns Police Department received information that a meth lab was operating out of a garage in the 900 Block of Hampshire. Upon investigation officers discovered all the components needed to produce methamphetamine.
Arrested at the scene was Derek Michael Henning, age 38. He was lodged in the Clinton County Jail for “Operating a Meth Lab” and VCSA (Violation of the Controlled Substance Act).
In addition to removing chemicals and components for making Methamphetamine, officers removed a computer from the home.
Henning was arraigned on June 13, 2012. Bond was set at $75,000 cash or surety and a preliminary hearing was set for June 21, 2012.
St. Johns Police Officers requested and received assistance from the Clinton County Meth Response Team.
