City vehicle involved in accident

On the afternoon of June 20, 2014 the St. Johns Police Department responded to a three-vehicle personal injury accident.
Upon investigation it was found that an 18-year-old man driving a City of St. Johns truck with trailer attached eastbound on Gibbs Street at Business 127 failed to yield to a northbound vehicle driven by a 65-year-old man from Carson City. A third vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign on westbound Gibbs Street at Business 127 was also damaged as a result of the accident.
The 18-year-old was transported to Sparrow Hospital by Clinton Area Ambulance for moderate injuries.
The St. Johns Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Clinton County Sheriff Department, St. Johns Fire Department and Clinton Area Ambulance.
