We’ve partnered with the Lansing Fire Department Emergency Medical Service (EMS), celebrating 40 years of service. Together, we are bringing you these one-day only activities:

– Hear rescue stories from some of the original Firehouse 1 crew
– Design an EMS badge and investigate historic badges from communities across Michigan
– Examine real EMS and firefighter gear
– Test your aim at the “Putting Out a Fire” game station
– See historic photos of Lansing fires, as well as artifacts that survived the blazes

The Michigan Historical Museum is one of only three locations in Greater Lansing where you can vote in the special Be A Tourist election. Do you support Sparty? Big Lug? Vote for your favorite Greater Lansing mascot, attraction and more, using real voting equipment and ballots.
