Locations for collection boxes
The Clinton County Toys for Tots program is underway with over 33 collection boxes out in businesses throughout the county. Toys will be collected through December 15 and distributed to several hundred children throughout the county.
If your family needs assistance with clothing, food and toys for the holidays, register with Capital Area Community Services at 989-224-6702.
If you need assistance with just toys call Clinton County Toys for Tots at 989-224-7248 or email ccchamber@power-net.net. All toy requests will be verified with CACS to ensure families are not already being helped.
For anyone donating a toy, please consider this. The campaign always gets lots of games, generic baby dolls, Barbie dolls, cars, trucks, footballs and basketballs.
Some things that are often requested but we don’t get enough of are: craft kits, teen magazines and CD’s for girls and sports apparel (hats and shirts), MP3 players and fishing or hunting items for boys.
Specific items on lists this year include La-la-loopsy dolls, dinosaurs, Spiderman, Pillow Pets, Zhu Zhu Pets, craft kits (for older girls) and legos.
Collection boxes are at the following locations:
Bath: American Legion, Bath Township Office and Hunters Ridge Apartments;
DeWitt: Blockbuster, DeWitt City Police, DeWitt Township Police and Fire (both locations), Firstbank, Dr. Liddell Office, Life Styles Hot Spring Spa and Prestige Pines;
Fowler: Clinton County Federal Credit Union and Main Street Pizza;
Ovid: Clinton County Federal Credit Union, Dollar General and Main Street Pizza;
St. Johns: Big Boy, Briggs Public Library, Citizens Bank, Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Clinton County Federal Credit Union, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Dollar General, Firstbank Downtown, Gentner Family Dentistry, Norms Hobby Shop, Peebles, St. Johns Police Department, Tractor Supply, Walgreens and Walmart
