On July 14 the City of St. Johns is hosting a Walking in Our Community Series Event. This is a series of walks that are sponsored by the Community Partners in Health, with this event Co-Sponsored by City of St. Johns, Playmakers, Clinton County on the Move and Mid-Michigan District Health.
The events are held once a month in mid-Michigan area communities. People from across mid-Michigan are welcome to take part in these free walks. Information about healthy lifestyle and exercise will be available. There will be routes of 1, 3, and 5 miles for people to walk at their own pace.
Registration takes place at the south side of the Clinton County Courthouse at 8:45; a short program will follow at 9:00 prior to the walk. People that register will be eligible for prizes including: Sparrow Fleece Blanket, American Cancer Society “The Great American Eat-Right Cookbook”, 2 colanders and cutting boards from Michigan Nutrition Network at the Michigan Fitness Foundation, 110 pedometers, Chamber of Commerce items and items from the City of St. Johns.
The Farmer’s Market will be open on the west side of the courthouse from 8 am – 12 pm
