What do I think?

by Barry Bauer
So the budget crisis is over with or is it? The newspaper says the government will cut the budget somewhere north of 2 trillion dollars over ten years. That averages out to be around 200 billion dollars a year – big deal.
Meanwhile the real deficit spending will run anywhere from 1.7 to 2 trillion dollars every year over the same ten year span. That number times ten is one hell of a lot of money and I don’t think I can come up with it without a little help. Come to think of it, the rest of you can’t either. It’s has been and still is a fiasco and the only thing we can do now until election day is just laugh about it or cry if you must.
If you run your household budget like the federal government does theirs, I have one thing to say to you. HOLY CRAP!
As to who won the budget debate, I’m not sure yet but until I see it in print I have to believe the Democrats hoodwinked the Republicans – again. And further more, I never heard so much stupid stuff coming out of the mouths of politicians.

I’m enjoying my Kindle reader – finally after finishing off the last hardcover book. I’m currently reading a book by David Baldacci that follows up on his other book, “Hells Corner.” The book’s titled “Devine Justice (Camel Club).” It catches up with Oliver Stone, the unofficial #1 hit man for the U. S. government, years later. Now they’re trying to eliminate him. From what I’ve learned about Stone, I think the guys working for the government who are looking for him are going to need a lot of help along with Devine intervention.
The books are easy to down load if you have Wi-Fi but if not, a USB connection to the computer will work too.
I’m still trying to get an update that will put numbers on the pages. That was one of the biggest complaints against Kindle.

A few thoughts:
The young people who voted for Obama and plan on voting for him again next year should think about this. Your children and unborn grandchildren will be saddled with the bill for all the money Obama’s spending. Someday they’ll be sitting in a ramshackle shack that they don’t even own, and asking themselves this question, “What the hell happened?”
Obama’s no FDR. While FDR told the nation they had nothing to fear but fear itself. Obama’s running around telling the nation, “The sky is falling, the sky is falling,” or words to that effect. What a leader. The last time I heard talk like that coming out of a president’s mouth, it was Jimmy Carter talking.
If three fireflies light simultaneously right in front of you in the dark, is that a good sign?
Members of Congress are an arrogant bunch. They took off on their August recess leaving the funding of FAA on hold. I have a new slogan for next year’s elections. Fire Congress – Fire Obama, A Change You Can Believe In!
Until the next time . . .
