Racist, News Reporting, and Furthermore
by Barry Blauer
I guess by today’s standards I’m a racist. I didn’t know that until Chris Matthews of “Hard Ball” told me so. Of course he’s calling all white people racist. You’re going to think, “Gees ol’ bauer, what have you done now?” My crime, I hate Rap music which is performed mostly by young Black musicians. I’m not allowed to hate it; if I do I’m a racist.
The liberals are loosely throwing around the word racist so much that it doesn’t mean a thing anymore.
V.P. Joe Biden didn’t help by telling a Black crowd, “They’re gonna put y’all back in chains,” meaning the Republicans. What kind of crap is that coming out of the mouth of the Vice-President of the United States! CNN claims it isn’t a racist statement. They just say the Conservatives got all excited over nothing. Sure CNN. If it isn’t racist then it was certainly meant to incite the Black audience Biden was talking to. That’s it Joe; scare the hell out of them!

I don’t watch the evening news anymore. The three major networks are too bias in favor of the Liberals to suit me. I haven’t watched it regularly since Walter Cronkite retired and Dan Rather took over. Remember Dan, he was fired for reporting a story without finding out whether it was true or not. Apparently the truth didn’t matter to him. Cronkite had the trust of the American people because he reported the story as truthfully as he could which is the exact opposite of the way newscasters do it today. A good example of what the American people thought of Cronkite; President Johnson once said that if he’s lost Walter Cronkite, he’s lost the nation. And of course he did.
Today they alter the news and spin it so it comes out the way they want it to. Even to the point of altering audio tapes to make it sound like somebody implied something else. It’s not even real anymore.
I like Brian Williams but he’s fallen into the same trap as the others which means he’ll never be a Walter Cronkite. Great potential, can’t deliver the news. Too bad.
I get the biggest kick out of Chris Matthews because he once proclaimed that he got a tingle up his leg when he thought about Barack Oblama. If I was a news reporter I’d get on my laptop, open a blank document and start typing my header.
CHRIS MATTHEWS COMES OUT OF THE CLOSET!
In today’s world it doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not. Just put it out there.
Chris, take a year off and get your head out of your bottom end. I guarantee you he will start seeing the light, and telling the damn truth . . . or at least part of it once in a while. I won’t hold him to a higher standard than he can handle. I don’t want to break him, I like the guy.

And Furthermore:
I didn’t watch either the Republican Convention or the Democratic Convention. Too much BS for me.
I’m impressed with Debbie Wasserman Shultz, DNC Chairman. She could tell a lie to her mother and keep a straight face. That’s got to be hard to do.
The Detroit Tigers are flip-flopping right now and they’re frustrating the hell out of me!
The Lions start the season Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. I can’t wait.
I was reading the book, “The Life and Times of Nikola Tesla,” until my brain started swelling trying to absorb all that high-tech stuff so I took a break and now I’m on my third David Baldacci book since then, “The Winner.” I’ll get back to Nikola as soon as my head stops hurting.
It cost the taxpayers 50-60 billion dollars to bail out GM, a 2 Billion dollar company. It’ll cost some more money to bail out GM’s European division. They wanted to sell it but the government wouldn’t let them. Does any of this make sense to you?
Until the next time . . .
