What do I think?

Damn, we’ve got another Boogeyman under our beds. Back in December of 1999 they has us worried about Y2K which was all about the calendars on computers and whether or not they’d roll over to the year 2000 or just freeze up and shut everything down.
A lot of us stayed awake on New Years Eve, 1999, and watched with expectations that all hell was going to break loose. It never happened. So what happens with the threat of going over the Fiscal Cliff? Nothing, it’s just another Boogeyman.
I don’t think I can sleep without the Boogeyman under my bed. I’ve gotten used to him being there and at least I know where he is.

Life is not a “Death Takes a Holiday” movie. Death will happen and all too often, and by any and all means it seems. It drives me nuts when all of these so called “experts” crawl out of the woodwork during these times. They have all the answers but they’ve never stopped a mass murderer from fulfilling his mission. I say “his” because I don’t remember there being a female mass murderer.
And then we have those idiots in Washington D. C. talking about gun control. What gun control has to do with this incident boggles my mind. Connecticut already has tough gun laws. The kid didn’t own a gun assuming we can believe the early reports. They were owned by his Mother.
If we outlaw guns there will of course be an illegal black market for them just like drugs. They’ll be expensive as hell but we’ll still have them. We can’t will them out of existence. If you think that, you’re a dreamer. We’d end up having no paper trail which means we won’t know who owns them, and there’ll be no background checks.
All of those “buy back guns” programs cities are holding are a sham. Do they really think criminals will turn in their weapons?

Poor Detroit Lions, they’ve fallen flat on their face. They find a different way to lose every week and a different player to do the dastardly deed. The curse of Bobby Layne still hangs in there and it may never end for us fans.
Last Sunday it was Matthew Stafford who kept throwing the ball to the wrong team. When a player isn’t screwing up it’s the coaching staff that kicks in and causes us misery. I’ve seen the Lions stop the opponent’s offense all day long until we go to “prevent defense” (coaches’ decision) late in the game and then we give up whatever points it takes to lose the game. The offense quits playing to win and instead plays not to lose. The Lions just don’t play well with a lead

And Furthermore:
If there’s a rear admiral in the Navy is there also a front admiral?
Why do the British pronounce lieutenant, “leftenant?”
I don’t recognize this country anymore.
Never ever give somebody a hard time if they’re about to prepare a meal for you.
I think, therefore I am. It’s true, but who the hell wrote that?
