Asking Why, Riding Stable, and Furthermore
by Barry Bauer
In his four and one-half years in office, what good has Obama done? He’s increased the number of people on welfare and disability. That’s where people go when they can no longer draw unemployment benefits. He’s lied about Obamacare, why? Make no mistake about it, death panels are coming. He lied about Sequestration, why? He’s blocked the Keystone pipeline, why? He’s proposed a Carbon Tax, why? He halted offshore drilling here but gave Brazil two billion dollars for offshore drilling there, why? That’s money in their economy and not ours, why?
Obama’s lying about the type of weapons used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, why? Here’s one possible answer; it doesn’t serve his purpose to tell the truth. He wants to control the guns in this country. Control of guns is control of the people.
So what is Obama up to anyway? Is he here to destroy this country? It sure looks like it. Rating him one to ten how do you think he’s doing? Keep in mind Obama has a plan and it’s not pro-America. Unfortunately for the rest of us there’s a large group of under-informed voters who are blinded by Obama’s light.
Most people advocating more gun controls don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. A perfect example and the latest, Robin Kelly, a Democrat running for the congressional seat formerly held by Jesse Jackson, Jr. She says conceal carry permits didn’t stop the shooting at an Aurora, Colorado theater. “They have conceal and carry, but nobody pulled out their guns to kill the gentleman (gentleman?) that did all the damage that he did,” she told a crowd.
She doesn’t know that the theater is a gun free zone just like our schools. That’s why there are so many shootings; force flows in the direction of least resistance. Has Kelly also seen bullets implode like Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D)? Or U. S Rep. Diana DeGette (D) who didn’t know magazines or clips can be reloaded. Being under-informed doesn’t keep any of them from spreading untruths. As for Obama’s excuse, he’s a compulsive liar.
The stabbings of 14 people at a Texas community college by a 20-year-old student is going to screw up Obama’s pack of barking dogs. How in hell are they going to explain this seeing no guns were involved?

Back in the mid 1960s friends and I hitched up our speedboats and headed to Higgins Lake for the week. It was over the 4th of July and the temperatures at night ended up in the 30s. That’s when I caught the worst cold I’ve ever had. If I had that same cold today it would kill me.
We did a lot of boating and water skiing and during a lull in the action three of us decided to go to a riding stable. At that time I’d never been on a horse. My only experience with horses was finding out that a boyhood friend, who lived down the road from us, was killed after his horse reared up on him.
We mounted our assigned horses (mine was an old swayback) and headed out on the trail in a single file led by one of the stable’s employees and following up the rear was another stable employee. Yippee ki yay!
The girl in front of me was all of a sudden thrown off her horse. Me, being a gentleman, got off my horse to help. I hung on the reins but the old swayback got too skittish so I let go and it headed back to the stable. The girl was okay so we had to ride double with somebody else. I was lucky enough to hitch a ride with the stable rider in the rear. I say that facetiously because I had to finish the ride on the widest part of the horse. It was about three days before I could walk with my knees together again.

And Furthermore:
If the government makes the morning after pill available to girls of any age and over the counter without a prescription then there should be no need for most of the abortions performed every year. Call it the lesser of two evils.
Who would have believed that the Defense of Marriage Act would come under fire? Bill Clinton signed it into law and now he doesn’t support it. If it is repealed it will lead to all sorts of marriage combinations and the sky is the limit. Think about it.
Biologically speaking, there’s no such thing as two Dads or two Moms.
Until the next time . . .
