What do I think?

thinker.jpgImporting, It’s over, and Trauma
by Barry Bauer
I got to daydreaming the other day and wondered why we don’t quit importing terrorists . . . don’t we have enough weird people over here now? We send big passengers planes over to the Middle East to pick them up and bring them back here. We’re just like the European countries that have been doing it for years and look what’s happening there. We also send cargo planes over there to pickup whatever surprise packages they feel like sending us. Despite what common sense should be telling us, most of the cargo coming in this country is not inspected.
It cost too much and slows things down – we can’t have that.
So I wondered . . . why do we do this? If it were my decision, I wouldn’t allow any planes to land here that originate from nations with known terrorist activities. But then I woke up and answered my own question, oil reserves – we want them and they’ve got them. It appears the countries in the Middle East are holding the Right Bower.
It’s a little joke Fate played on us.

I got a little tired of this being called an election based on race. So Obama’s half black, wasn’t the nation aware of that when they elected him president? Can’t we reject his policies without being called racist? Sounds to me like playground stuff – sticks and stones. Obama wasn’t even running so what were they talking about? Racism is being used all too often today as a lame excuse for not getting the job done. No matter what level it’s at.
Don’t get excited Gram, that’s what politics are all about right now.
So am I a racist? Here’s the flat-out truth – Obama has a socialist agenda – I’m not a socialist. Can’t they understand that?
If Obama has to work with a Republican congress, it will actually make him a better president, it happened to Bill Clinton in 1994. It’s called “checks and balances.” The equation, which thankfully isn’t the difficult Quadratic one, is this:
An equal number of liberals + an equal number of conservatives = a moderate government. One we can live with.
Unfortunately for Clinton’s legacy, we couldn’t keep him away from the women.

I’m suffering from post election trauma. I walk around the house in a daze because I don’t know what to do for entertainment. The newspaper’s are back to posting the regular stuff like all the bad things that’s happened in other countries around the world. Guess we don’t have enough bad news right here at home and have to go looking for it.
I do have an idea about keeping track of those who will end up not keeping their campaign promises and why – I love the excuses. Is it still Bush’s fault? Oh, okay. I won’t know much about that until next year so I might as well sit back, relax, and read a few books this winter.
Maybe that will clear my head of all that mumble-jumble I’ve been listening to all year long.

A few thoughts:
What gender is the Tooth Fairy anyway?
Why does Jay Leno whisper when he’s delivering the punch line?
Will President Obama ever give a speech while looking straight into the camera?
Has anybody noticed that commercials are getting shorter but there’s more of them?
Thanksgiving’s on a Thursday again this year – how many times have you heard that one?
Until the next time . . .
