Sunday April 15
The monthly Sunday Event Open House at the Arts Council’s Gallery has long presented a broad range of art embraced by Clinton County Arts Council. The April gathering adds to that expression.
Barbara Buck will be the featured artist Sunday April 15. Barbara’s specialty is converting an otherwise ordinary piece of wood into an attractive and meaningful art piece.
While she works on a current effort during the 1-3 p.m. event, she will have many of her completed items on display throughout the gallery.
“We’re pleased to have Barbara featured this month,” explained director Mike Muehlenbeck, “and encourage everyone to spend some time with us observing Barb’s special skill in bringing beauty to an ordinary block of wood.”
Sponsor of the April Sunday Event is Al’s Aerial Spraying. Refreshments will be served.
The Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns and information regarding these monthly events – and other Council related activities – can be obtained by calling 989 224-2329.
Activities of the Arts Council are made possible through generous sponsorships, such as Al’s Aerial Service, and membership dues and donations. These sources are supplemented by periodic grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs which is a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
