Lowe UMC to hold garage and bake sale April 28-30
A Multiple Family Garage Sale and Bake Sale at the Lowe United Methodist Church at 5485 W. Lowe Rd. on Thursday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Friday April 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday April 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Proceeds from the bake sale will go into an Act of Kindness fund to be used to benefit those in our local community as a need arises.
SJHS Class of ’72 plans 50th Reunion
The St. Johns High School Class of 1972 will hold their 50th Class Reunion on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 500 p.m. Emerald Golf Course, 2300 W Maple Rapids Rd north of St.Johns. Details to follow.

Chamber and Downtown partner for May 7 event
St. Johns Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to partner with Downtown St. Johns Principal Shopping District to bring you a new take on an old event on May 7 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Touch A Truck and kids art projects will be lining the first block of Clinton Avenue along with craft vendors and sidewalk sales.
Relay for Life will be downtown at the train depot starting Friday May 6 and going through the night ending Saturday May 7 at 4 p.m.

Legion to host next Outreach Dinner April 23
American Legion Post 153 in St. Johns will host Quarterly Community Outreach Dinners to support the Legion Family Organizations.
The first dinner is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 153, 110 Walker Street in St. Johns.
The dinner will feature Chili, Tomato Bisque, Creamy Potato, Salad, Grilled Cheese, Assorted Desserts

County Spring Clean Up is April 30
The Clinton Country Clean Community Event will be on April 30 this year. In order to attend the event an appointment is required.
To sign up for an appointment visit this link to create a new account Clinton County Parks & Recycling Services. After creating a new account, click on the green “Recycling and Collection Events” tab, then click on “Spring Clean Community Event” to pick an appointment time. After making a reservation you will receive an email with additional information.

Please note: An appointment is required and there is a 10 tire limit per appointment. They are unable to accept any tire over 24 inches in size. No business or agricultural tires allowed due to grant restrictions.
Roof Sit for Kids coming up April 28
Join The Voice for Clinton County’s Children in a Roof Sit for fellowship and a fundraiser supporting their essential work on behalf of Clinton County children and youth.
Roof Sits are done to raise awareness. They were very popular in the 1980s prior to Golf Outings and 5K Events.
The Voice for Clinton County’s Children are hosting this event as both an awareness event, April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and a fundraiser to support the agency’s work.
They launched this event in 2021 when COVID-19 was still dominating their decisions because we missed you. This event will remain primarily outside and will be even bigger.
Join them as they honor Child Abuse Prevision Month all day at Big Boy of St. Johns. Advocacy Hours with special activities from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Arts Council to host events during May 7 Spring Fling
Saint Johns is hosting the Spring Fling on Saturday, May 7, the same day as many other events in town like the Relay for Life and the Plein Air Event at the Art and Soul Gallery. There will be food, crafts and fun for the whole family.
For all the artists out there, here is the link to apply for craft/ artist tents. The prices are very reasonable.
They would love to see your artwork and creativity out there. Go on into the gallery and for early registration to take part. They have added a new category for high school students this year too with a $50 prize!
Mark your calendar for May 7 Spring Clean-Up
The City of St. Johns Spring Clean-Up is set for Saturday, May 7, 2022. Please do not place items out to the curb prior to Saturday, April 30.
Items must be placed out by 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. Items placed after the contractor has passed will not be picked up.
Clean-up is limited to 3 cubic yards of material (approx. the size of a regular pick-up truck box). Pickers be courteous and keep areas tidy. Do not leave a mess!
This is available for city residents whom live in a one to four unit dwelling. A refuse fee is applied to the summer tax bill to pay for this service. Any non-resident placing refuse illegally is subject to a $500 fine.
