Elaine Ruth Elliott
God peacefully took Elaine Ruth Elliott, 86, the early morning of September 24, 2022, looking as beautiful as always. Her friends and family were amazed by her strength and endurance battling cancer up until the end.
She was born in Swartz Creek, Michigan, on November 15, 1935, to parents, Ardis and Harold Elliott.
Elaine retired from Federal Mogul in St. Johns and then worked part-time for The East Lansing School District. Spending time with friends and family, gardening, shopping, collecting antiques, and taking on home projects were among her passions. Everyone will miss seeing her smiling face as they pass her lovely home.
Although home was St. Johns for more than sixty years, in the last months Elaine lived in Stow, Ohio, with her daughter and family before moving into assisted living at The Landing in Stow. Her family appreciates the care and love of the staff and residents during her final months. Crossroads Hospice was a blessing, and we also extend them many thanks.
She is survived by her three children, Richard, Craig, and Diane (Bill) Muncy; her cherished grandchildren, Dayton and Michael Boling and Billy and Ashley Muncy. Later in life, Elaine reunited with childhood friend, Jim Robinson, and they enjoyed many years together until Elaine’s passing. Jim and children, Bud (Pam), Jeff (Lori), Kaye (Greg), and Laurie also survive her. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Lynn Elliott.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made in Elaine’s remembrance to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. The family is being served by

Guadalupe Ledesma
His first dance step in the late 60’s was a stumble and fall. Soon to find the right music to play, from country music to rock and roll, in search of a sound that he could dance to without a fall.
Music of his heritage he soon would claim, an idea of a hall, a band to play, a dance they came to hear. Great bands at times, even a good D.J.
As the doors of the hall opened, the little man greeted his guest with a smile… “let the music play people, come and dance your hearts away!”
A man of music and dance, for many years, he filled the hearts of people with joy and laughter.
A legend, he became, Lupe’s Dances he was known. He once said it’s not the hall or band that made the dances, it is the friends that I made throughout the years that I came to love.
Lupe’s Dances is no more, but only in the hearts of those who remember him.
Thank you who shared his life and made his dances possible.
