What is Chainmail?
Helms Weave

Believed to have originated in 500 BC, Chainmail is a Celtic invention consisting of patterned, mesh armor made of interconnected metal rings . For a millennia, the flexible armor was used to protect soldiers from all over the world. Now, it’s ancient techniques live on through jewelry with different cultures creating their own weaves. No one knows the origins of Helms Weave, although its simple pattern harkens to medieval styles.
