Beginning with a co-op in high school, Theresa went on to pursue a career in title work and deeply enjoyed her work as a title examiner and manager with Mid-State Title Agency, now ATA National Title Group, in St. Johns. On November 27, 1997 she married Roger Wells in St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns and made their home in DeWitt, where Theresa loved her St. Jude Parish family and being a part of the Bell Choir. They will deeply miss her friendship, her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved, her bright smile (and clothes), as well as the good counsel and entertainment she proffered during ‘happy dollars’.
For Theresa, no matter how busy, family was always her first priority, and she loved them unconditionally with her whole heart. She never missed a sporting event, cared for all of her children’s needs with pitching in and good counsel, doted on her grandchildren, and was always ‘in control’ in all the good ways. ‘Mother Theresa’ was caring, loving, selfless, gave deeply of herself to her family and community, her smile, great sense of humor, and presence will be dearly missed.
