Community Halloween Party is October 29
St. Johns Big Boy invites you to a Community Halloween Party on Tuesday October 29.
All day 15% of sales will benefit advocacy work for abused children by The Voice for Clinton County’s Children.
Special activities planned form 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. include Superhero Friends from The League of Enchantment, Face Painting, and Trunk or Treat (weather permitting).

Halloween Trick or Treat hours set
The City of St. Johns Trick or Treating will be held on Thursday, October 31 2019, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The fire whistle will sound when trick-or-treating begins and ends.
The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce is also having their annual “An Event So Good It’s Scary” on Thursday, October 31, 2019, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
This event is daytime trick-or-treating with local businesses in the City of St. Johns. Please visit or contact the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce to get a list of all the businesses participating and giving out candy during this event.
Arts Council offers Acrylic Painting Fundamentals
Create a one of a kind holiday gift for that special someone with artist Andrea Czarnik.
Paint your own masterpiece, use fundamentals of painting, including composition, value, color, lights and shadows. After a short demonstration, you will practice sketching and color mixing on a given canvas before you develop your own style using these guidelines.

Tri-County Office on Aging hosts Dinner and Auction
The Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) will host its 34th Annual Dinner and Auction on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Eagle Eye Banquet Center at 6:00 p.m. The event features an elegant meal, live and silent auctions, games with prizes, cash bar, and raffle. Over one hundred items donated by local businesses and individuals will be available for bidding.
WILX News Anchor Ann Emmerich will host the evening, which will feature a testimonial from a family caregiver of a client who benefited from TCOA’s services. A live auction features a week-long stay in the south of France, a two-night stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, a three night stay at a condo in Petoskey, and more. There will also be a wide variety of silent auction items such as gift baskets, sports packages, casino stays, and others. All items in the silent auction will be available to bid on via Clickbid mobile bidding, open to the public in the days before the event.
Raffle winners will be drawn for cash prizes donated by Delta Retirement Center, with a $1,000 grand prize. Raffle tickets are available at TCOA (5303 S. Cedar St, Building 1, Lansing) for 1/$5.00 or 5 tickets for $20.00. Tickets are also available at all Dart Bank locations or by calling TCOA at 517-887-1377.
Individual tickets to the Dinner and Auction are available online for $65 each until November 1, 2019 at www.tcoa.org/tcoa-events.
Lowe UMC to host Trunk or Treat
The Lowe United Methodist Church will host Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the church located at 5485 W Lowe Rd. St Johns, MI. 48879.
Dress up in your costumes and come to Lowe UMC for treats, crafts and great fellowship.

Soup kitchen makes final stop for the season
