Lenten Fish Fries begin February 28
The annual Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry will be offered beginning February 28. Subsequent dinners will be held on March 6, 13, 20, 27 and April 3.
There will be Baked and Fried Fish with all the fixings available for $12. The public is welcome from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Take Outs available (989) 224-1225. Columbian Hall 1108 N. US-27 in St. Johns.
Office on Aging to offer workshops
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an interactive program designed to help family caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a family member or friend. This program will give You, the family caregiver, tools to:
– help reduce stress and guilt,
– communicate effectively, take care of yourself, and much more.
This program is not intended for professional caregivers. We meet for 2 ½ hours once per week for 6 weeks. The workshop is free of charge, but donations are accepted. Suggested donation is $25.00 for the 6-week workshop. Pre-registration is required. To register, call Tri-County Office on Aging at 517-887-1465.

A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls is an interactive workshop which promotes the belief that falling and fears about falling are controllable. It aims to reduce fall risk, increase physical activity, and reduce fears about falling.
Although the workshop is primarily discussion, it does include an exercise program designed to increase balance, strength, coordination, and stability. Caregivers and significant others are encouraged to register and attend as active participants.
The Workshop is free of charge but donations are accepted ($25 suggested donation, but it is not required). Pre-registration is required. To register, call Tri-County Office on Aging at 517-887-1465.

Hazel I. Finday Manor needs volunteers
An hour a Day can make a Difference. Volunteer at Hazel I Findlay Country Manor.
Assistance is needed for various Activities including Bingo, Playing cards and games, or to just chat, transporting residents to and from group activities and meals.
Volunteers also are needed to provide companionship to residents as they travel to and from appointments. No experience is needed.
Applicants must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Hearing & Vision Screening Clinic
Vision screening is required for all children entering kindergarten. The Mid-Michigan District Health Department offers free vision testing, as well as hearing screening tests for all children ages 3 to 21. WIC Benefit Pick-Up Schedule
Pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to 5 years old may be eligible for free food through the WIC (Women, Infants & Children) program. The Mid-Michigan District Health Department WIC Benefit Pick-up Clinics are scheduled as follows:
