Sparrow Clinton holds medication disposal

July 30
Are your medicine cabinet shelves cluttered with unwanted or expired prescriptions?
Bring your expired or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications to Sparrow Clinton Pharmacy, 901 S. Oakland Street in St. Johns, on Friday, July 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. The St. Johns Police Department will be on site to assist with secure disposal.
While medications play an important role in treatment of medical conditions and diseases, all drugs should be handled with care. Unused medications must be properly disposed of to avoid harm to the environment as well as children, pets and wildlife.
The best way to dispose of unused medications is to participate in a community medication disposal program. This is a safe way to remove unwanted or expired medications from your home.
For more information about the July 30 disposal day, call Sparrow Clinton Pharmacy at 989.224.8155.
This event is held in partnership with the St. Johns Police Department and the Clinton County Department of Waste Management.
