A trip down Homecoming Lane

Homecoming Dance
by Maralyn Fink Woodbury
Despite the bad weather for the Homecoming Parade and game, the weather on Saturday for the Homecoming Dance was perfect.
Heading Northwest out of town, I arrived at the home of Kurt and Jenny Hufnagel who were hosting a dinner party in honor of their daughter Paige and her group of friends.
Upon arriving I met up with Jake Sturgis who escorted me to the party inside. Everyone was aglow in their finest making for a picture perfect setting. The table for 10 was inviting as the parents worked feverishly in the kitchen.
Time to start the pictures.

After a few inside shots, we made our way outdoors to get grouped and to show off the finest. Parents snapping cameras along with me, chatting, laughing and different poses did indeed bring back memories. Soon more friends arrived to take in the action and join in the fun. Returning inside, the guests were seated and served a 4-5 course meal that was fit for a king. Glasses raised in a toast, I knew this was a memory maker for the group.
When I left, I remembered my generation of Homecoming; and now this group has made memories of their own that they will recall in the many years down the road.
Oh ya, I met up with Braxton in uniform and we decided to attend this dance so I gotta go and decide what to wear. After all, we are going by motorcycle.
