Artwork in Stone is September attraction

Sunday September 8
Artists deal in various media and materials spanning the range from man made to natural. Thomas Heckman deals in the latter – stones. His works will be featured during the Clinton County Arts Council’s monthly open house, Sunday September 8.

Heckman specializes in clocks and crosses, objects ideally suited to the natural sensitivity generated by the solidity of the merged stones. He will be on hand during the Sunday Event to discuss and explain how his pieces are crafted.
As usual, this monthly open house will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with refreshments on the agenda. The upcoming event is sponsored by Abraham and Gaffney, P.C.
The Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns and information regarding the monthly Sunday Event – and other Council related activities – can be obtained by calling 989 224-2329 or visiting clintoncountyarts.com.
Activities of the Arts Council are made possible through generous sponsorships, such as offered by Abraham and Gaffney, P.C., regular membership dues and donations. These sources are supplemented by periodic grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs which is a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
