The Hammer Award

Kermit Hart, Federal-Mogul plant superintendent before becoming the plant manager, presents Fred Meyer, head metallurgist, with the “hammer award.” I haven’t found out yet what the award stood for but I’m guessing it’s some kind of excellence of service award.
Behind them is the huge drawing of the plant layout which changed every time there was a new addition.
