Chapter Chatter Storytime
“Musical Matters” Join us for some musical mayhem. We will discover different musical instruments and their sounds, perhaps a field trip (still in the planning stage) and of course there will be hands on fun. A chapter book selected by staff will be shared over the course of 4 weeks. Sign up for Thursday evenings, February 26 – March 19, 7-7:45 pm. Registration is now open.
Bookaholics
There is still time to read Peter Graham’s Anne Perry and the Murder of the Century before our Bookaholics book club meets on Thursday, February 19. This is the true story of the 1954 murder of a woman by two teenage girls — her daughter, Pauline, and Pauline’s best friend, Juliet – better known today as mystery writer Anne Perry. Graham has created a comprehensive, well-researched examination of the crime and its aftermath, as well as the killer’s lives, from childhood to the present day that is as engrossing as it is chilling. Copies of the book are now available at the Circulation Desk. The clubs will meet at noon at the library, or at 8:00pm at Bruno’s Bar.
Briggsflix
Join us for the comedy “Best In Show” on Tuesday, February 24th in the Library meeting room. The film is about five dogs and their owners as they prepare for the Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show. This free program is intended for adults and will begin at 6:30 pm, with a short discussion following the film. Patrons are welcome to bring camp chairs or other comfortable seating. The film is rated PG-13 and runs for 90 minutes.
Library Closures
The Library will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2015 in observance of the President’s Day Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns throughout these closures.
