In February the St. Johns Mint Festival Steering Committee will begin planning the 31st Annual St. Johns Mint Festival and additional Committee members are needed. The 2015 Mint Festival is scheduled for August 14-16.
The Committee needs individuals to help in the following areas:
Pageant – the pageant will take place the Tuesday before the festival (Aug 4). This committee coordinates everything leading up to the pageant (judges, decorations, practices, etc) and is responsible the night of the pageant to oversee everything. This committee secures enough volunteers to coordinate each of the age groups, to arrange the judges, see that the auditorium is decorated and cleaned up and more.
Mint Office – this committee is responsible for making the PA announcements throughout the weekend and being at the Mint Office at the park during the weekend to answer questions, give directions and more.
Entertainment – a co-chair is needed throughout the weekend to meet with entertainers, make sure they get to the right locations, their group is announced and more.
