Thank You Santa and more
The library holiday programs were a great success with over 300 children plus adults enjoying music, games, crafts, refreshments and of course a visit with SANTA! A big thank you to Santa and Mrs. Claus for your time! Another big thank you to ALL of the volunteers, especially Diane Berry, Linda Faivor, Carol Fedewa, and Renee Russell for their cookie baking and craft preparation…we couldn’t have done it without your help!
“Plenty Of Penguins” Pre-Reader Storytime
This program is for independent listeners, ages 4,5 and 6.You may choose Tuesday morning sessions, 10:30-ll am, January 17th to February 21st or Thursday evening sessions, 6:30-7 pm, January 19th to February 23rd. Registration is required and begins on Tuesday, December 20th. Chill out and sign up for plenty of perfectly pleasant penguin stories, crafts, music and games.
Computer Classes
Get connected with free computer classes at Briggs Public Library. The Briggs Library is pleased to offer a new program designed specifically for adults who are new to the world of computers and the Internet. We will be offering a two-part beginner’s computer class titled Computer Basics. Part one, Mastering the Mouse, will provide an overview of the components of a computer and computer terminology, and an introduction to working with Windows.
Part two, Introduction to the Internet, will allow users to navigate a web browser, to find information online, and to effectively use the Briggs Public Library website. The class will be offered over two weeks – part one on January 18th, and part two on January 25th. Both sessions will start at 9am and last approximately one hour. Registration for this free class is required, and opens December 21st.
Food Drive Thank You
Thank you to all of our patrons who donated various food items for our local food pantry! We delivered 8 very full grocery bags and 6 big and very heavy boxes filled with canned goods and boxed food items! What a great way to show we care about our friends and neighbors in need.
Library Closures
The Library will be closed on December 23rd, 24th and 26th for the Christmas Holiday and on December 30th, 31st and January 2nd for the New Year’s Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns during these closures.
