Marriage Built To Last

Series at Community Christian Church
February, the season of love, is the perfect time to give attention and devotion to your marriage by living intentionally and loving Biblically. Community Christian Church, 400 E. State Street (M-21), St. Johns, invites the public to join them in a free new message and small group series focusing on building strong, healthy marriages and relationships.
On February 20, 2011, Pastor Tyler Barlage will begin a six week message series called “Marriage Built to Last,” on Sunday mornings as part of the worship service, beginning at 10:30 a.m., focused on how couples can make their marriage better and stronger.
Couples will learn important principles for building positive relationships in their lives, including: communicating clearly, breaking down walls that cause relationships to stagnate, working through conflict, how to restore intimacy, and bringing Christ to the center of your relationships.
Free study guides will also be given away, supplementing the Sunday morning teaching. There is no need to pre-register before coming; simply show up. Community Christian is a “come as you are” church, so don’t worry about dressing up.
There is also a small group study opportunity for those who desire to join other couples in a life-group study on the topic “Marriage Built to Last.” The six-Sunday-night life-group meetings will be held February 20-April 3, 2011 (no life-group study on Mar. 27). A potluck supper will start at 6:00 p.m. with the life-group study 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the home of Tyler and Julie Barlage. Couples will delve into the above-mentioned topics more deeply and practically.
The life-group study is free, but you must pre-register by Feb. 18, 2011 by calling the church at 989-224-6421. Couples will watch a DVD hosted by pastor and nationally syndicated radio host, Chip Ingram, as they share their lives and discover Biblical truths that apply to their marriages. A workbook packet will be provided for each participant at no cost.
