Briggs Library News

Changes to Library Catalog and more
Thank you to all the patrons that have been so patient with Library staff as we become familiar with our new operating system. This system allows patrons to view their own Library data. Individuals can access the system through the Library Catalog link on our web site or by going directly to http://briggs-verso.auto-graphics.com/iluminar/home.asp?lid=briggs#Iluminar.
On the left hand side of the screen there is a log in feature. If you have a Library card with a mint leaf on it you enter the number on your Library card exactly as printed. For example P13572. If you have one of the old Michicard Library cards you enter your number with a space between the P and the number. For example P 13572.
The password is USERPASS on the first login. Once you hit submit the system will ask you to create a new password of your choosing. Should you have trouble logging in please call or stop by the Library and we will help you through the process.
Basic searching can be done without logging in but if one wanted to put a book on hold/reserve, they would need to log in. By selecting the My Account button, a patron can view what items one has out, see one’s checkout history (this can be turned off if a patron wants), look at what items one has on reserve and the system will tell one what numerical place one is on the reserves list, it will show lost items and fee/fines owed.
The Library will continue to update the public on the features of the system and how one can take advantage of them.
