They say you just never forget. How to ride a bike, that is.
Join in the Fun with a lot of other folks with splendid memories and take part in the Bike Ride For The Railway on October 6. The bike ride will begin at the depot and you may choose a route of 20, 40, or 60 miles for your ride. Great food will be available at the end of the ride, with light snacks along the way.
Entry fee is $20.00 per person. The proceeds from the ride will benefit the restoration of the historic railcars owned by Clinton Northern Railway, which is a branch of the Clinton County Arts Council. Three of the cars are currently in place at the depot and can be toured on Sunday afternoons or by calling Gary or Jenny McCampbell at 989 224 6134.
Registration will begin at 8:30 AM at the Depot, 107 E. Railroad St, adjacent to the DNR-planned Clinton-Ionia-Shiawassee bike trail in St Johns. Advance registration may be done at the Art Gallery, 215 N. Clinton St., St. Johns.
For more information, call Jenny McCampbell, 989-224-6134, Marti Cooper 989-224-1827 or Beth Smith 989-224-6629.
The Clinton County Arts Council is pleased to receive a portion of its funds for operations from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for Arts.
Join in and have fun while getting some great exercise.
