Early on the afternoon of August 31, 2013 Clinton County Sheriff Deputies were called to a vehicle – bicycle injury crash in the 4000 block of East Townsend Road in Ovid Township.
A westbound vehicle driven by an Ovid Township man struck a boy riding a bicycle. Seven-year-old Jameson (Jamey) William Arnett was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries.
Deputies were assisted by Ovid and Clinton Area Ambulances as well as the Clinton County Victim Support Team.
This incident is still under investigation.
