Legion Auxiliary has new officers

The new slate of officers was sworn in May 23 at the American Legion Post 153.
Also sworn in at the Department of Michigan Annual Convention held at the Amway Grand June 23 – 26, Marcy Jorae was installed as a ALA Department of Michigan 8th District President for the 2011 – 2012 year.
Other officers from from Unit 153 serving at the District level will be Jean Dunham, Sergeant-at-Arms and Kay Mishler, Executive Committee Member.

Kay was chosen as the installing Officer in recognition of her years of service to the Auxiliary having held numerous offices in the Unit, including Unit President. She also was 8th District President in 1972-1973 and Department President in 1983-84. Seated to the left is 8th District President Brenda Spolarich our special guest for the evening.
Kay was given a $25.00 donation to her special project for the year (Girls State) in her honor.
