“Babies In Bloom” Lapsit Storytime:
Babies ages 12 to 24 months with adult participation are invited to join in the fun of books and reading on Monday evenings, 6:30-7, February 11th thru March 25th (no session 2/18) OR Friday mornings, 10-10:30, February 15th thru March 22nd. Together we will enjoy age appropriate stories, music and creative movement. Registration is required and is open now.
Chapter Chatter “A Sweet Read”
This program is for children ages 6 to 8 years old (independent listeners). Library staff selects and reads short chapter books over the course of 4 weeks. We will have snacks, play a game, and make a craft that relates to the “sweet & yummy” books we have picked out. Program dates are Thursday evenings at 7-7:45, February 28th to March 21st. Registration is required and begins on Thursday, January 31st. We can’t wait to share this tasty program with you!
March Is Reading Month “You Can’t Catch Me”
Join us in our celebration of reading during the month of March. “Run as Fast as You Can Breakfast” for ages 3-5 years old with an adult, Tuesday, March 5th, 9:30-10:30. We provide breakfast & beverage. “You Can’t Catch Me Lunch” for ages 3-5 years old with an adult, Tuesday, March 12th, noon -1 pm. You bring a bag lunch and we provide a beverage & treat. “I’m the Gingerbread Man” evening program for family fun for the young, Tuesday, March 19th, 7-8pm. We provide a lite snack &beverage for all to enjoy. All programs will include “sweet stories” music, games or crafts. Registration is required for all of these free programs and opens on Tuesday February 5th.
eBook Program
Do you have an eReader or tablet? Come to our class and learn how to use it to borrow free e-books and audiobooks from the library. This class covers all the basics — setup, downloading, and which devices support library e-books. We’ll demonstrate the checkout, download and transfer process through the Overdrive app and answer all your e-reader questions. You’re welcome to bring your device, though it is not required. Two class times available on Tuesday February 5 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. or Friday, February 8 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Required registration began on January 8 and you must have a valid Library card to sign up.
Library Closures
The Library will be closed on Monday February 18th in observance of the President’s Day Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns during these closures.
