Need committee members
The Mint Festival Planning Committee is still looking for a few committee members. They have openings for the following committees: Vendor Committee, Mint Office, Ice Cream, Entertainment and Pageant. Some of the tasks with each committee include:
Vendor Committee: These individuals get vendors checked in at the park on Fri, Aug 14, see they get to their right booth and make sure there are not any problems throughout the weekend. The committee gets additional volunteers to help with traffic flow in the park and to direct people at vendor parking. Throughout the weekend the committee addresses any issues vendors may have, facilitates any vendor moves and talks with vendors about future participation. A chair and co-chair are needed.
Mint Office: This committee handles the PA announcements during the weekend, is the office for lost and found items and the place festival attendees go to for various information. This committee gets enough volunteers to make sure the office is manned all hours of the festival and during set up. A chair and co-chair are needed.
Ice Cream: This committee is responsible for selling the Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream from the festival. The committee lines up volunteers to be at the Ice Cream Booth throughout the weekend to scoop ice cream, take money, etc. A co-chair is needed.
Entertainment: This committee meets with entertainers when they arrive to ensure they get to the correct venue and to make sure they have everything they need to perform. On occasion this committee will transport vendors by golf cart from parking to their performance area. A co-chair is needed.
Pageant: This committee coordinates everything involved with putting on a pageant such as scheduling practices, selecting music and flow of pageant, selecting judges, making location arrangements, getting individual group coordinators, etc. A chair and one additional co-chair is needed.
