Only a few more days until the 26th annual St. Johns Mint Festival celebration! There is so much to enjoy during the day at the City Park and the County Fairgrounds – carnival, petting zoo, sporting events, dog show, arts & crafts vendors, food and more. The Mint Festival fun continues “after hours” in Downtown St. Johns, with live music and casino gaming in the Downtown on Tap Beverage Tent located on the train depot lawn.
The Mint Festival Down at the Depot is both Friday and Saturday night, August 13 and 14, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Friday night’s festivities also include the Mint City USA Car Show, with restored classic cars lining Clinton Avenue and Railroad Street. After viewing these hot cars, you can sip a cool Mint Mojito or drink a traditional “cold one” while listening to live music and taking part in casino gaming at our blackjack tables – all until 12 a.m.
The fun resumes again on Saturday evening with the Mike Shalfey Band returning to provide the background to what some are now calling the biggest home-town reunion of the year. The casino gaming tables will be hot and the beverages cold, so come enjoy the Mint Festival Down at the Depot.
