Tuesday nights
Vivo Cantando, a community choir for children in Grades 3-5, started a new session on January 13. All children interested in singing with others students from the St. Johns area are invited to join; there is no audition.
The choir meets on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:30 pm in the St. Johns Middle School choir room. There is a fee of $50 for the session to cover the cost of music and accompanist fees. The enrollment fee, payable to St. John Public Schools, can be paid at the initial session or mailed to director Ellen Hoard at 1214 Lincolnshire Drive, St. Johns, MI 48879.
Vivo Cantando was founded in the fall of 2013. This is the fourth session being offered for the fledgling group.

Rehearsals will run through April 21, and there will be a concert on Friday, April 24 to conclude the session. Rehearsals will skip January 20 and April 7. Music to be sung will include pop, traditional choral, and Broadway tunes.
Additional information can be found on the choir website, www.vivocantando.net or at the Vivo Cantando Facebook page.
