Todd Matthews in Flagstaff, AZ writes: “House is located on Buchanan between Mead an Swegles Street’s. Until a few years ago John and Sam Hopko lived there. Used to walk by it on my way to Swegles Street School in the early 60’s.”
The house is located at 402 E. Buchanan Street, St. Johns
This 1868 Cape Code style house is half of a house that once stood on the northeast corner of East State and Spring Streets. It was the home of the Nick Pappas family.
The other half is next door at 400 E. Buchanan. It was moved to the present site in 1948.
Previous owners include: Donald Gilson, William Graef, David LaQuire, and John and Marlene Hopko. The current owner is Stephan Geller.
