July 10 at SJ Concert in the Park
Think about music as if it were a Louisiana gumbo – a rich, hearty blend of ingredients that satisfy both body and soul.
That’s David Molinari and Creolization.
The group of musicians from west Michigan are bringing their spirited blend of Rhythm and Blues, Pop, Rock and the exuberant Creole dance music known as Zydeco to the St. Johns City Park Performance Shell July 10 for the weekly Concert in the Park summer series. There is no admission charge for the show that begins at 7 p.m.

Formed by Molinari in 2005, the singer-songwriter and the band entertains audiences with soulful, danceable grooves delivered with high energy and emotion. Creolization’s outstanding musicians and vocalists include Mark Lundell, Mark Edwin, Michael Van Houten and Brett Beelen.
Molinari and Creolization opened for Louisiana-based Zydeco legends Buckwheat Zydeco in 2009 and ’10, and Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas in 2011. The band’s self-titled 2011 recording of all Molinari songs was nominated for several Jammie Awards by Grand Rapids community radio station WYCE, and Molinari was awarded the WYCE Jammie Award for Outstanding Male Artist of 2011.
