A happy tale – Part 2
Around 8 weeks ago, I wrote a story about a dog named Bitsey, who was a Rescue Beagle that I fell in love with. She was introduced to a family at the Grand Rapids Pet Expo and became their furever pet.
She became Sadie and went to her new home that day. I have kept in contact with her and her new family, and thought I would write an “update” on her new life.
Sadie’s mom writes that she is doing well!!!! No lack of love on either side and Sadie gives back as much as we give her. As the weather warmed, Sadie was introduced to the “Golf Cart”. After her first ride, she is thinking “This is the life” and since then , she almost turns inside out getting on her harness to go, she is so excited.
Sadie has a sister, Sophie, and has become quite attached to her. She likes to curl up next to her at night in bed, and they really enjoy each others company.
Memorial Weekend takes Sadie to the lake. Here, she believes she is the “Captain” of the pontoon and likes “all hands on deck.”
Thinking she has mastered that, it is time for the Jet Ski. Proudly riding with a family member, she takes in the sights, not wavering once for a wave or the noise of the engine.
The day after that mom writes that Sadie got into the back of the closet to get her life-jacket and went out the doggy door waiting for someone to say…”ya ready”.
However, the backyard now looks like a day care center because she will take anything not nailed down out the doggie door. Way to go Sadie!!
Pampering is her thing, and she doesn’t mind the necessary cleaning that dogs require. Still waiting on a report on the teeth brushing!!
Mom says that they were extremely lucky that Sadie is such a sweetheart and I am positive that Sadie knows how lucky she is to have found a home with such loving parents.
Sadie sends me lots of hugs and kisses and an “I wuf you”! Right back at you, Sadie. You and your family are always in my thoughts.
Until next time . . . .
