Lots of family fun

October 8-9 at Andy T’s Pumpkin Fest
Decorated pumpkins, pumpkin races and pumpkin treats – what could be more perfect for an autumn weekend.

Pumpkins will be everywhere at Andy T’s Pumpkin Festival 2011 set for the weekend of Oct. 8-9 at the farm market located on South BR-127 just south of St. Johns. Lots of family-friendly activities are planned once again this year like the Decorated Pumpkin Contest, Pumpkin Trot, children’s games and rides through the pumpkin patch.
The fun actually begins Sunday, Oct. 2, when youth can pick up a pumpkin for use in the contest. Pumpkins will be available from noon to 6 p.m. Decorated pumpkin for the contest will arrive back at Andy T’s on Thursday, Oct. 6; check in is from 4 to 9 p.m. The pumpkins will be on display all day Friday, Oct. 8.

The Lions Club food wagon will be on site selling tasty food items, and Andy T’s cider and donuts, home-made baked goods and hand-dipped caramel apples will also be available for purchase.
Prizes and participation certificates for the Decorated Pumpkin Contest will be awarded at 4 p.m.
