The St. Johns City Commission recently designated an area of the historic train depot complex at 107 E. Railroad Street as Rotary Park. By passing a proclamation during its first meeting in October, the City Commission recognized “the significant and continuing contributions of the St. Johns Rotary Club for its role in the upcoming construction of a 40′ x 70′ multi-use pavilion on the Depot grounds”.
This pavilion will enhance the use of the historic Train Depot Complex and provide multi-aspect use by individuals and groups. It will be constructed west of the historic train depot building. Last year, the Rotary Club built a gazebo on these same grounds.
