St. Johns Public Schools recognized Board of Education members Phil Schrantz and Nick Koenigsknecht at the December 8 meeting, saluting their years of service to the district that dates to their election in 2006.

Superintendent Dedrick Martin and Board of Education President Bill Tennant cited the dedication each trustee had shown during their time on the board.
Both trustees served on various standing and special committees throughout their tenure; Koenigsknecht had also served as recording secretary for the board.
