Senior Center offers activities to adults of all ages

Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
The Clinton County Senior Center invites adults of all ages to join them for their daily activities.
The Board of Directors was pleased to officially welcome their new Director, Ms. Kelly Voisinet, at a Summer Open House and Ice Cream Social July 24th. Kelly comes to the center with many new ideas for future activities.
Some of the activities include Euchre tournaments (1st and 3rd Mondays at 6:30 pm and 2nd and 4th Mondays at 1 pm), Bingo (Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:30 pm), Hearing checks (Wednesdays), Member Birthday Bash-special bingo and cake and ice cream (2nd Wednesday), Community presentations ( 3rd Wednesday), Movie and popcorn ( 4th Wednesday), Non-denominational Bible Study (beginning Wednesday, August 21), Dice Daze-choice of dice games (1st and 3rd Mondays at 1:00), and much more.
In addition to these scheduled events there is always a puzzle being worked on, the center has a library with books and movies and someone is always getting card or board game started. The Clinton County Senior Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am until 3 pm.
Meals are available each day the center is open. The center has a kitchen inspected and approved by the Mid-Michigan District Health Department and the center has rotating cook crews that prepare meals in-house each Monday. The meals are served on Monday’s between 11:30 am-12:30 pm and cost only $5 ($6.50 with homemade pie). Monday meals for August include:
August 5 – Salisbury Steak
August 12: Spaghetti w/meatballs
August 19: Sauerkraut and Sausage
August 26: Meatloaf
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday the meals are brought in from Tri County Office on Aging.
On August 22nd the Senior Center will be taking a bus trip to the Grand Rapids Public Museum to see the special Titanic Artifact Exhibit (pre-registration required). The center is located at 201 E Walker Street in St Johns. The center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency which has been serving “active seniors on the move” since 1979.
