What do I think?

Matthew Stafford, quarterback for the Detroit Lions, had what is called a “Pro Bowl” season. He’s one of only four quarterbacks in the history of the NFL to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season. He was snubbed in the Pro Bowl. Had he been from any other team he would have been selected.
Because they snubbed Stafford, I snubbed their Pro Bowl game. They won’t know it, they won’t feel it, but it happened and in my mind that’s good enough.
Take that NFL!
The game turned out to be a travesty anyway. 59-41, what did they do, pull the defenses in the first quarter? How can they keep selling this game to the networks?
Dumb network people I suppose.

I’m waiting for spring realizing that I have to walk a thousand more steps in the snow and icy pathways and will still have those days when I’ll proclaim that it’ll take a warm day in Hell before I warm up again because it’s so damned cold outside and that’s been the reality most of the time.
Spring is coming soon and that’s when things renew themselves. The trees will leaf out, the grass will grow again, the flowers will bloom, our garden will sprout, my arthritis will take a vacation and I’ll get a temporary reprieve to do the things I like to do again.

I know Mitt Romney is a Mormon but I question his religion. He uses as many dirty tricks as the next candidate. If he’s the chosen one I’d rather he attack Barack Oblama rather than Newt Gingrich. I know he has to win the Republican nomination first but I think he can do that with new ideas we all want to hear and not by trashing his fellow Republicans.
On the other side the news media doesn’t report Oblama attending church regularly on Sunday because he doesn’t which is why I think he’s a closet Muslim. We all know he’s their guy so they don’t want to put a spotlight on him when it comes to certain things that turn out to be negative.
So that’s why I don’t think religion means much in the scheme of things. I think it’s used more as a tool. We can probably throw religion out of the election equation because it means nothing to those in pursuit of power.

Short thoughts:
You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it take a bath.
If you’re walking on ice do yourself a favor, don’t put your hands in your pockets. You may need them in a hurry.
The more government tries to protect us from ourselves, the more ridiculous we become as a nation.
If you think you know something, check again. You may be wrong.
Until the next time . . .
