Mandala Designing Workshop Saturday, October 28 Noon – 5:00 PM
Join us at the Art & Soul Gallery for this fun and relaxing class taught by Theressa Levett to create your very own, wooden mandala. Mandala art originally focused on creating an art piece that represents balance, designed within a circle that contains a symmetrical pattern, with each part representing a part of the cosmos or the deities that make up portions of the universe.
The creative process of mandala making helps to find peace in the universe through balance. Mandalas can be made with a myriad of patterns and designs. It is all up to the artist what the pattern becomes and means to them. Mandalas can also be made simply for the artist to enjoy the process. Each participant will be able to design mandalas on paper, then design and paint one, final mandala on a 12″ wood board.
All supplies are provided. This class is $40.
