Auditions scheduled at Wilson Center

Wilson Center Productions has announced its upcoming performance of Jesus Christ Superstar at the historic Wilson Center Auditorium. Auditions will be February 7 and 8.
All area actors are invited to audition at First Congregational Church of St. Johns, 100 Maple St., St. Johns on Thursday, February 7 from 3 – 7 p.m. and on Friday, February 8 from 6 – 10 p.m.

What is the Future for Passenger Trains in Michigan?

The future and challenges of passenger train travel in Michigan and across the country will be the topic when rail expert, Nicholas Little, leads a discussion hosted by the Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers on Saturday, January 26, 10:00 a.m. – Noon.
The event will take place at the historic Grand Trunk Depot in St. Johns, which now houses the Clinton Northern Railway Museum.
Valentines Day Dance is February 15

The Maple River Charge Community Outreach Group will be hosting a Valentines Day Dance on Friday, February 15 from 7 p.m. at Lowe United Methodist Church, 5485 W. Lowe Rd. St. Johns, MI.

City schedules Winter Open Gym
Join the City of St. Johns Recreation Department weeknights this winter for our Adult Open Gym Activities. The Winter Open Gym activities starts on Monday night with Volleyball taking place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The next open gym activity, Pickleball, takes place on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Lastly, open gym Basketball will take place on Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
All activities will take place at the Wilson Center Gym. The cost to attend these activities is, $4 per night or you can purchase an open gym pass for $20 good for 6 visits (one pass can be used for multiple open gym activities). Zoo in your neighborhood at the Briggs
Representatives from Potter Park Zoo will be at the Briggs District Library as part of their Zoo in Your Neighborhood program on Saturday, February 2 at 1 p.m.
They will present a special family storytime where they will introduce participants to a few small animals, and read a story about them.
No library card is needed to attend, but advance registration is appreciated and can be found on the website.

To be included, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
