SJPS's Martin named one of five finalists for Ingham ISD superintendent

martinSt. Johns Public Schools Superintendent Dedrick Martin is among five candidates who will interview to be the next Ingham Intermediate School District superintendent.
Former Fowler Superintendent Scott Koenigsknect, now superintendent of the Montcalm Intermediate School District, and current ISD assistant superintendent Helen McNamara also will interview next week. Coldwater Superintendent Tina Kerr and Shiawassee Regional Education Service District Associate Superintendent John VanWagoner are also finalists.
Martin has been superintendent at St. Johns since July of 2013. Koenigsknecht left Fowler in 2007 for lead the Montcalm ISD.
The interviews were held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Mason.
The board is expected to narrow the field and conduct a final round of interviews on March 4. The new superintendent will replace Stan Kogut, who will retire in June.
